The management of the GPL reigning champions, Accra Hearts of Oak has released a letter to caution the general public to stop paying money to people who approach them to raise funds to support the club.
The club notified the Phobian fraternity and the general public through their social media handles in a letter signed by their communication team.
It has been noticed by the club that some fraudsters are using the name of the team to take money from people in aid to help the Rainbow family to complete their projects.
“The management of Accra Hearts of Oak wishes to caution the general public, especially the Phobians to desist from giving out money to individuals or groups of persons who come to them to solicit funds under the pretext of supporting the club to complete one project or the other.”
“The club is appealing to all who are ready to support its endeavors in any capacity to kindly contact the club’s secretariat and go through the rightful channels. All such people will be duly recognized.”
“The club’s image has been used by unscrupulous persons claiming to be the fans of the club to solicit for funds which never get to the club, hence the decision to condemn and hopefully avert any such infractions in the future.”
