Agent of Kotoko’s Frank Etouga Mbella, Olivier Chamberlin Tonfack Essofack is optimistic the young prolific attacker will step into the shoes of the former Cameroonian star who is currently the FA president of Cameroon, Samuel Eto’o Fils.
Agent Tonfack Essofack made it clear that Mbella can be compared to the former Barcelona and Chelsea sharpshooter Eto’o in the next five years but not the current captain of the Indomitable Lions, Vincent Abubakar (golden boot winner, AFCON 2021).
Mbella was handed a call-up to represent the Cameroonian national team following his outstanding display just a season after joining the Ghanaian giants.
As the top-scorer of the current GPL season, the striker has bagged 19 goals helping the Porcupines to keep their hope alive for the league title.
The agent believes Etouga will deliver when allowed to wear the jersey of the national team.
“Mbella will be like Samuel Eto’o Fils in the next five years. He will be like Eto’o Fils next five years in Cameroon, the president of our Football Federation now. Understand well what am saying. He will get statics for the next five years to be like Eto’o, not Abubakar.”
“He will come and play and score goals. Don’t worry about that. Give him the chance. When he comes and they give him the chance he will come and play and score goals. He is a fantastic player.” Tonfack told Kumasi-based radio Fox FM-Ghana, on Friday 13th May, 2022 during their Focal Sports Show.
Within a season of joining Asante Kotoko, he is regarded as one of the most prolific attackers in the Ghana Premier League.
