An update from Hearts camp has confirmed that their game against Bibiani Gold Stars will come on, Ghanasportspage.com understands.
The Rainbows will host the GPL debutants at the Accra Sports Stadium in week 29 on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
The information gathered this morning from a close source indicated earlier that almost 15 players of the GPL champions were reportedly admitted to the hospital as a mystery illness hits their camp in Accra.
The Phobians on Saturday edge out Dreams FC by a 3-2 scoreline at the nation’s Wembley, Accra Sports Stadium.
The communication director of the club, Kwame Opare Addo says following the illness they requested for postponement of the game but the Ghana Football Association did not agree.
He further stated that there has to be a miracle before the game can come on.
Currently, seventeen players out of the squad are training.
The league champions are fourth on the table with 44 points after week 28. They are 12 points behind their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko who leads the log with 56 points.
“The reality is that after the Dreams FC game some players were not feeling well so our medical team stepped in.
“Most of them have been stabilized.”
“Is left with only one player who will go through the last lab test. I spoke to one of the doctors.”
“We wrote to the FA to postpone the game but the feedback wasn’t positive.
“Many of the players are first-team players but we will work on and play.
