Ghana Premier League burgers Asante Kotoko will travel to Obuasi on Wednesday 1st June 2022 for the much-anticipated fixture against Ashanti Gold SC.
Professor coach Prosper Ogum has paraded a strong 18-man squad to Jinger Ashanti Gold SC on Thursday 2nd June 2022 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The match was scheduled originally for Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium, but the match was postponed a few hours to kick-off following intelligence reports and advice from the Ghana Police Service, which borders on security and safety. The match has now been scheduled for Thursday, June 2 which will kick off at 3 pm.
The list excludes their captain, Abdul Ganiu Ismail due to an injury. Coach Ogum’s side will be without influential defensive midfielder Mudasiru Salifu, who will be missing the game due to accumulated yellow cards. Mudasiru Salifu has picked up two yellow cards which resulted in a red card in their last game against Medeama SC where they beat them 2-0, and will not be available for the crucial game against Ashanti Gold on Thursday.
Another key player who is not available for Thursday’s clash against Ashanti Gold SC is Yussif Mubarik due to a health problem and he is currently receiving treatment.
