Captain of Medeama Sporting Club Vincent Atinga, one of the experienced defenders in the Ghana Premier League has come up against different attackers in the past, but who is his toughest opponent ever?
The former Hearts of Oak center-back has named former Asante Kotoko forward, Sadick Adams as the toughest striker he’s ever faced, stating he is an attacker who gave him problems at the defense.
According to the Medeama skipper, Sadick Adams’ trickery and pace made it difficult for him to be handled in the game.
During a recent conversation, the Local Black Stars player revealed that it is in fact, Sadick Adams who has given him the most trouble in his football career during his time with Hearts of Oak.
“Always I say the toughest striker I have ever played against is Sadick Adams, the one from Sunyani. He is the toughest striker I have ever met. The other strikers are good but Sadick Adams gave me a problem,” he told Original FM.
The 32-year-old attacker was signed by the Porcupine Warriors in 2017 and went on to play two years which in truth went quite well.
Adams scored important penalties to win games for the Reds, his outstanding hat-trick against Hearts of Oak in the finals of the 2017 MTN FA Cup final handed Kotoko the title on the back of a 3-1 victory.
