Asante Kotoko defender Maxwell Agyemang is attracting interest from Angolan giants Petro de Atletico ahead of the upcoming season, according to ghanasportportspage.com.
The Angolan club is hoping to scoop the Ghanaian international as a way to occupy their center-back role.
Maxwell joined the GPL winners in the summer of 2021 from Division One League side, Wamanafo Mighty Royals, and has since demonstrated good performance in the Ghana Premier League.
He made ten appearances and his only goal of the season against Ashantigold in Obuasi helped Kotoko to clinch their 24th league title.
Agyemang emerged as one of the trusted defenders in Prosper Narteh Ogum’s selection which has impressed the Angolan giants to enquire whether the Porcupine Warriors will release him for a new adventure.
Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors are hoping to beef up their squad as they prepare to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
