Ghana Football Association has responded to a disciplinary decision from CAF concerning a protest filed against two Ghanaian players in the U-17 women’s team in a controversial World Cup qualifier the second leg played against Morocco in Rabat.
The decision bans Ghana from two subsequent U-17 World Cup qualifiers with a fine of $100,000. Ghana FA sent a written defence to CAF which was not considered.
Ghana FA has three days to indicate its intention to appeal the decision and a further seven (7) days to send a written statement of appeal to the CAF Appeal Board.
“We will study the full decision and respond with a written appeal accordingly”. GFA Communications declared it on their official website.
