Heart of Oak Midffieder Sulley Muntari has spoken about his next destination. The midfielde turns 38 next month but reveals he is ready to continue playing active soccer
Iconic Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari has revealed his contract with giants Hearts of Oak has run out.
Muntari, who turns 38 next month, tells Kwabena Yeboah on the Sports Highlights show on GTV Sports+ that he signed a 6-month deal with the Rainbow club and the deal has ended.
However, he has confirmed his intention to remain with the 2000 CAF Champions League winners as the CAF Confederation Cup campaign approaches.
“I had only six months contract with Hearts of Oak but I want to renew it. I want to be part of the African campaign,” he told Kwabena Yeboah on GTV Sports+’s Sports Highlights show.
The 3-time FIFA World Cup appearance maker (2006, 2010, and 2014) signed for the Phobians in late January 2022 and was unveiled by the club on February 1.
He made 11 league appearances, scored once, and provided 3 assists in a season that saw him win the President’s Cup and the MTN FA Cup for the side led by young trainer Samuel Boadu.
