2021/22 Ghana Premier League Champions Asante Kotoko has officially announced the signing of Accra Lions goalie Frederick Asare.
The Porcupine Warriors eased past Hearts of Oak who were also interested to secure the services of the talented shot-stopper.
The newly signed Asante Kotoko goalkeeper appeared as one of the greatest goal-stoppers in the Ghana Premier League.
Asare kept 13 clean sheets in 28 games for the Lions in their debut GPL season.
He however, earned a call up into the Black Galaxies for preparations for the CHAN qualifier later this month following his great performance.
Asare also won accolades for his good works during Accra Lions’ 1-1 stalemate with Kotoko at the Accra Sports stadium last season.
The goalkeeper has penned down three years contract with the Reds until 2025.
The Porcupine Warriors made the announcement on their Social Media handles, stating, “We are pleased to announce the capture of Goalkeeper Frederick Asare on a three-year deal,”
“Asare joins us on a free transfer following his exploits for Accra Lions last season,”
