2021/2022 Ghana Premier League Champions, Asante Kotoko will officially begin their pre-season campaign on Monday, 8th August 2022 for the upcoming campaign.
Asante Kotoko set to begin their pre-season training session in Kumasi at the Adako Jachie training grounds on Monday. The technical team has announced that all the players must report to camp on Monday morning.
The GPL Champions will hope to remain for the next season and also perform well in the CAF Champions League. Asante Kotoko will know their opponent on Monday, 8th August 2022 as CAF fixed the date for the draw.
Asante Kotoko is yet to announce a new coach after the departure of Dr. Prosper Ogum Nartey. According to Ghanasportspage.com, Ogum has still not handed an official resignation letter to the club but he has requested contract termination.
The Porcupines will engage in some physical activities to boost their performance as well as playing some friendlies to fill the vacuums in the team before they depart the country to Turkey to continue their preparations as they already announced to leave the country on 15th August 2022 and return on 30th August.
Asante Kotoko has so far announced the signing of Accra Lions goalie Frederick Asare, and Steven Mukwala from Uganda Rivers Authority FC, and hoping to announce the signing of other players in the coming days.
