The Ghana Football Association has released fixtures for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season on Thursday,11th August 2022 which is scheduled to kick off the weekend of September 13-16 at match venues across the country.
Defending Champions Asante Kotoko will start their title defence at home against Nsoatreman FC at the Baba Yara Stadium while FA Cup winners Accra Hearts Of Oak treks to battle Aduana Stars.
Hearts and Kotoko will meet in the Super Clash on Match Day 3 in Kumasi.
Newly promoted sides Nsuataremang FC and Tamale City will have their first taste of Premier League football at home against Elmina Sharks and Berekum Chelsea respectively while Samatex SC hosts Wonder club Accra Great Olympics at the Aliu Mahama stadium.
The Kumasi derby between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal is scheduled for March Day 4 with the Bono derby between Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea set for Match Day 7.
The first Ga Mashie derby between Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics will be played on Match Day 2 with the return fixture of Great Olympics hosting their city rivals on Match Day 17.
The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of Friday, September 9 to Monday, September 12, 2022 across all nine Premier League centers.
This follows approval of the plan for the 2022-23 football season by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Specific dates, times, and for each match fixture would be announced after the Club License Board submits approved venues for the season as well as the Television schedule will be confirmed in the coming days.
