Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has named his squad for Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Sudan, including the three local players earlier reported by foxfmonline – Richard Atta, Habib Mohammed and Yahaya Mohammed.
The Black Stars will host the Falcones for the first leg at the Cape Coast sports stadium on March 27 and before traveling to Omdurman for the second leg three days later.
Head coach CK Akonnor named his squad at a press conference on Tuesday in Accra, and four local players made the cut with Ashantigold SC right back Kwadwo Asamoah being the last name completing the local cut.
This has been CK Akonnor’s maiden call up as head coach of the Black Stars, and he has maintained 16 of the players called up by his predecessor James Kwasi Appiah who featured in Ghana’s opening games against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe.
