Ghana premier league great Asante Kotoko recorded a gross sum of GHC653,000 from gate proceeds from their Champions League final play-off qualifier against Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated The Stars 2-0 to move inches to securing a group stage birth for the first time in thirteen years. Goals from Augustine Okrah and Richard Arthur saved the day for Kotoko, making it a bit easy for the Kumasi based side ahead of the second leg encounter in Souse.
Asante Kotoko will travel to Sahel for the second leg in Souse, which has been scheduled for Friday, 27th September, 2019.
