Week 11 of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season provides rousing and unmissable derbies, and among the notables is the Ashanti derby which will see Kumasi Asante Kotoko travel to Obuasi to cross swords with Ashanti Gold Sporting Club on Sunday.

Emmanuel Frimpong, the CEO of Ashanti Gold Football Club has asserted emphatically and unequivocally that the porcupine warriors are not getting a point from Obuasi, this coming weekend.

The CEO speaking to www.ghanasportspage.com this afternoon admitted that Ashgold has had a rollercoaster from the beginning of the season but his club is highly optimistic and certain to bag the three points at home without a lot of sweat.

Speaking on motivation, for the boys, he disclosed there are enough motivation available for the boys to win the match.

Mr. Emmanuel Frimpong urged the Ashgold supporters to throw their undying support for the boys since he and his team have promised Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko that there will be no surprises and miracles for them on matchday 11.

“With my team, any match we play I give them a winning bonus but playing against Asante Kotoko, I have increased the bonus” he was asked to quote the actual figures but he remains undisclosed’. He told ghanasportspage.com

Finally, Mr. Emmanuel Frimpong, assured football fans in Ghana that Ashgold is winning the 2020/2021 League season and Kotoko will be part of their victims this season.

Both clubs are going into the game with the mindset of avoiding successive defeats, after losing their previous games. Ashanti Gold gave away a lead against Legon Cities in Accra, where the Royals came from behind twice to beat them 5-2 after the Miners had taken an early lead.

Asante Kotoko on the other hand, played what according to match statistics, was their best game of the 10 weeks old league season against Aduana Stars last Sunday, but a late thunderbolt striker from Samuel Bioh for the “Ogya” boys sent the Porcupines home empty-handed. Ghanasportspage.com shall give a preview of this game soon.
