Asante Kotoko players will resume official training session today at the club’s training grounds at Adako Jachie to begin preparations for the commencement of the premier league scheduled for November 13.
This has been make possible after players and technical team of the club completed medical screenings for the mandated covid-19 on Tuesday. Coach Maxwell Konadu and the rest of the technical team as well as the playing body went through the government and the GFA mandated covid-19 tests at the club’s secretariat on Tuesday, and have now moved to begin official training for the season.
The training has been scheduled to take place this afternoon at 3:00PM (15:00H GMT) at Adako Jachie. All players who went through the testing exercise are expected to be present at today’s training as the team gears up for both the domestic league and the CAF Champions League competition.
As per government directive, the fans are prohibited from witnessing the training sessions of all clubs as a measure against the covid-19 spread. However, fans have been allowed to attend league matches when the league officially begins, but only up to 25% of the stadia is permitted to be filled. This is to ensure social distancing in the fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
