As part of their preparations for the Confederations Cup second leg fixture against Akonangui FC in Obuasi, Ashantigold SC have lined up a preparatory friendly match against Desire Academy on Saturday.
The Miners held the Equatorial Guinea side to a 1-1 draw during the first leg clash in Equatorial Guinea, and are doing everything humanly possible to keep themselves in good shape as they prepare to welcome Akonangui on August 24.
The friendly match comes of on Saturday, 24th August, 2019 at 9:00am at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.
Ashantigold will test their level and readiness against the lower division side before the real test against Akonangui. With away goal advantage backing the Miners, any scoreline other than a defeat will qualify them to the next round of the competition, and coach Ricardo Da Rocha much aware of the demands at the club.
