Black Stars and Asante Kotoko Defender Ismail Abdul-Ganiu finally had one of his best wishes blessed in reality when he married Fusseini Umu-Salma at a ceremony in Wa.
The player took the break in the local league to quickly put plans to the ground in Marrying his sweetheart despite the fact that he has also been camping with the Senior National team Black Stars.
Attended by families of Ganiu and Fuseini, few good wishes including Kotoko supporters were around to support the occasion.
Ganiu is credited for being the reason Asante Kotoko’s backline has proven solid in the ongoing league, with the club conceding the least number of goals. This culminated in his call up to the Black Stars team preparing for the South African team in an Afcon qualifier.
Ganiu received the marriage button from William Opoku Mensah, the last Kotoko player to marry, who incidentally also received the baton from team captain Felix Annan.
