The dust has finally settled and Asante Kotoko misfit midfielder Alex Annold Didi has accepted the clubs offer of three months compensatory package to terminate his contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
The termination of the Ivorian’s contract with Kotoko has been in the news for some time now, generating lots of media frenzy as the midfielder demanded for six months salary instead of the three months proposed by the club.
After a long battle between the parties, Alex Didi has finally accepted the offer tabled by Asante Kotoko but on grounds that, he is given his initial salary of $700,000 a month.
Kotoko have accepted to pay without hesitation. In effect, Alex Didi has to be paid a total sum of $2100 for the three months salary and have his contract terminated. The package included money for his air fare back to Ivory Coast and the player has accepted it in good faith together with his agent, Charles Kouadio who initially opposed it as well.
The Ivorian midfielder signed a three years contract with the Kumasi based side but have struggled with playing time, and now has his future away from Kotoko.
