Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Berekum Chelsea captain Stephen Amankona ahead of the new season.
Initially, Chelsea were not ready to reduce their price tag for the winger but later changed their stance with Kotoko also increasing his onward transfer fee to 15% as requested by Chelsea.
Amankona will undergo his medical at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi in the coming days with an official announcement imminent.
Stephen Amankona, who enjoyed a remarkable 2020-21 campaign with the Bibires courted interest from many clubs including Medeama, Hearts of Oak, and Dreams FC but it is Kotoko who have won the race.
Amankona was sensational and undoubtedly one of the best players in the league having scored 15 goals in all competitions in the 2020-21 season coupled with 7 assists, alongside three man-of-the-match awards in the GPL.
Meanwhile, Amankona becomes the Porcupines’ ninth signing so far after Richmond Lamptey, Samuel Appiah, Richard Boadu, Clinton Opoku, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Maxwell Agyemang and Samuel Boateng.
Excellent way of describing, and good post to take data on the topic of my presentation subject, which i
