Former CAF Champions League winner, Daniel Nii Adjei, has warned his former side Asante Kotoko ahead of their blockbuster encounter with ES Sètif.
According to the former TP Mazembe Starman, the Algerian side have a good squad that can cause problems for Asante Kotoko even at home.
The Porcupines will host ES Sètif at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
“It will not be an easy task for Asante Kotoko because ES Sètif will come as a determined force to even get a point in Ghana to make the second leg a mere formality,” said Daniel Nii Adjei in an exclusive interview with Peso FM evening sports show, Pramaso.
He reckoned that, the Porcupines Warriors have also reached a certain height in the League that could give them an urge over the Algerians.
“If you look at Kotoko’s performance thus far, it has been good, especially that win against Karela, but they should approach the match with right mentally and use the Karma win as a springboard to beat ES Sètif.”
The two sides are leading their respective Leagues following their impressive display so far.
The away team, ES Sètif are leading the Algerian League with 27 points after week 12 while Asante Kotoko lead the Ghana Premier League stable with 22 points after week 13.
