The Black Stars on Wednesday, October 07, 2020, continued their preparation towards the friendly against Mali in Antalya, Turkey.
Coach C.K Akonnor had nineteen players in training on day two, ahead of the two friendly games. Coach CK Akonnor and his technical team will use these two matches as preparatory games ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Sudan, and the journey officially starts today. Akonnor, whose debut as the head coach of the senior national team delayed due to the coronaviurs pandemic, looks forward to do so starting with the friendlies against Mali and Qatar.
Ghana will play West African neighbors Mali on Friday, October 09, at the Aslan Zaki Dermirci sports complex in Antalya, Turkey before engaging 2022 FIFA World Cup host Qatar three days later.
Black Stars currently sit at the summit of the 2021 AFCON qualifying table with 6 points, having won their first two matches against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe under the then coach James Kwasi Appiah with CK Akonnor then as an assistant.
