Exclusive: Ex Black Princesses skipper Grace Adams joins Nigeria’s Rivers Angels FC on one year deal

Former Black Princesses captain Grace Adams has completed her transfer to the Nigerian Women League to join three times league champions Rivers Angels FC on a year contract.

Adams, who had great time with the national female U-20 side (Black Princesses) as captain joins the Nigerian women top flight side from University of South Florida Women’s Soccer after finishing her contract with the American side. Grace Adams left the American side after her soccer scholarship program ended in late last year.

The current Black Queens play maker whose extraordinary skills and style of play makes her drew interest from other top clubs in women football in the States and Nigeria, chose to join the Angels after negotiations went suitably well with the expectations of the Ghanaian talented player.

Fox sports can confirm that Grace Adams has already been presented to the fans of Rivers Angels FC and have already been registered with the Nigerian Football Federation to be able to make her debut in the Nigerian Women Premier League which is currently ongoing.

Rivers Angels FC currently sit on top of the zone A table with 7 points in the zoned league, and the inclusion of the Black Queens winger Adams gives coach Edwin Okon’s side a brighter chance of clinching the title.

Grace Adams is currently in Nigeria, Rivers state where her new club is based and have been preparing with her teammates towards the commencement of the second round of the ongoing women’s league.

Rivers Angels FC have won the Nigerian women league for three times, lifting the Nigerian Women’s Cup on five occasions, last in 2014. Intuitive of the ambitions of the club, Grace Adams assured the club of her commitment to help the club win more trophies.

“I’m very happy to be here, I know Angels are a great club and the expectations are high. My main aim is to help the club to win more trophies and maintain our position in the league as leaders”, Adams told fans after her successful registration with the Nigerian giants.
