Premier league side Asante Kotoko have finally completed the transfer of former Ashantigold defender Yusif Mubarik on a free transfer for an undisclosed fee and period.
Mubarik and midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh both had their medicals as part of their move to the Kumasi based club on Monday in Kumasi, and have now been officially announced as players of the ‘Kum Apem’ family.
The 22-year old centre back joins as a free agent after seeing out his contract at Ashantigold Sporting Club. He left the Obuasi based club on mutual grounds after both parties agreed not to renew his contract after the expiration of the existing contract.
Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League, as well as competing in the domestic league as well as the FA Cup competitions. Yusif Mubariks addition is expected to solidify the defence of the porcupine Warriors as they prepare for the coming season.
Asante Kotoko players began official group training session on Wednesday afternoon after being taken through the mandatory covid-19 tests on Tuesday.
