Ahead of its 26th Ordinary Congress on Tuesday September 1, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced to its members and all stakeholders its measures to ensure strict adherence to all covid-19 protocols at the Congress to ensure safety for all attendees.
According to a statement published by the FA, it has put in place measures to ensure the availability of temperature testing equipment, hand-washing buckets, hand sanitisers as well as other personal protective equipment needed at the Congress scheduled to be held on Tuesday, September 1 at the GFA Technical Centre (GSCE) at Prampram.
“The Ghana Football Association wishes to inform members and all stakeholders that the Association will fully comply with all COVID-19 safety protocols at the 26th Ordinary Congress on Tuesday”, the FA announced.
To ensure proper compliance with the laid down rules, there shall bee stringent security measures from the entrance to the main hall of the Congress venue to see to it that congress men and women as well as accredited media persons go through all heal protocols before entry. Wearing of nose masks is obligatory as persons who may arrive without their nose masks would be denied entry.
“Strict security measures will be enforced at the venue from the entrance to the main hall to ensure that Members of Congress, Invited Guests and the accredited Media men and women go through the health and safety procedures put in place successfully.
Only accredited representatives nominated by Members of Congress will be allowed into the Congress premises in accordance with the Social Distancing Protocols”, the statement insisted.
The 26th Ordinary Congress of the GFA was earlier scheduled to be done through virtual means, but the decision was changed later on following government’s relaxation on some restrictions on public gatherings, which allows quiet a sizable number of persons to gather for any lawful activities in strict adherence to all covid-19 protocols.
