The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced a three-year partnership deal with Italian sporting apparel company Macron as the official football sponsors of the GFA.
The Ghana FA signed the deal with with the Bologna based outfit on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Accra. The kits and football manufacturers will be the official match ball sponsors/partners of the GFA, covering such competitions of the FA which include the Ghana Premier League (GPL), the MTN FA Cup competition and the National Division One League.
The deal, which will be in force for the next three years, is worth One Million Six Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1.6m).
Macron will supply the GFA a total of Five Thousand (5,000) pieces of footballs and One Thousand and Five Hundred (1,500) pieces of bibs every season, which will be shared among clubs.
The deal comes as a big relief for both the GFA and the football clubs who, under normal circumstances, spend thousands of Cedis on match balls.
