The Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association has in pursuant to Article 23.5.1 of the GFA Statute, invited premier league clubs, division one clubs, regional football associations for an extraordinary Congress on Monday, 19th August, 2019 at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Ridge, Accra.
Stakeholders of the game have knocked on the doors of the interim football governing body (NC) to call for Congress to ensure that elections for president of the GFA takes place so that football returns to the hands of football people again after the Tiger Eye PI documentary dubbed Number 12, which showed several alleged corrupt practices in football administration in the country led to resignation of the then GFA president Kwasi Nyantakyi.
The agenda for the much awaited Extra-Ordinary Session of Congress include:
- Accreditation
- Roll Call
- Verification that notification and composition of the Congress comply with the provisions of the GFA Statutes
- Address by the GFA President
- Adoption of GFA Statutes
- Adoption of GFA Regulations on elections
