The Black Stars B will face host nation Senegal in the final of the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations after the Teranga Lions cruised past 9-man Mali with a 2-0 win in the semi final match on Wednesday.
Maxwell Konadu’s Black Stars B defeated the young Elephants of La Cote D’Ivoire 3-1 in the semi final final to reach the final. Senegal followed suit with a 2-0 win over Mali on Wednesday to set up a all West African final on Sunday, 13th October, 2019.
Ghana won the WAFU cup competition in 2013 and 2017 both as hosts, and can have the cup for keeps should they beat Senegal on Sunday in the final to win this year’s competition.
