The 2019/2020 Ghana premier league season has been rescheduled to start on Saturday, 28th December, 2019 following a meeting between the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and representatives of the premier league clubs on Monday in Accra.
The meeting which was held at the M Plaza hotel in Accra, was primarily to discuss issues pertaining to club licensing requirements recently released by the Club Licensing Board, and the date for the commencement of the league.
At the said meeting, both the GFA and the premier league club representatives agreed that the start of the league be moved from the initial date (December 21) to December 28. Subsequently, the Division one league and the National Women’s league will all start on the same date.
The GFA took to its official twitter handle after the meeting to confirm the change of date for the start of the league.
