Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei over the moon after joining German side VfL Bochum

German-born Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei has expressed his joy after joining German top-flight side VfL Bochum.

Ahead of the 2021/22 football season, the German club have acquired the services of Ghanaian Christopher Antwi-Adjei after he left SC Paderborn 07 despite spending three seasons with them.

He joined VfL Bochum on a three year contract as a free agent having refused a contract extension with SC Paderborn 07.

The lanky winger expressed his delight after joining VfL Bochum.

“I am looking forward to more than one aspect: I am looking forward to the upcoming challenges with VfL”

“I am happy to have signed with a traditional club, I am looking forward to many games in a beautiful stadium – hopefully soon again in front of spectators – and I’m particularly happy to be wearing the VfL Bochum jersey, ” Antwi-Adjei told the club’s official website.

Sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz spoke highly of his newly signed winger.

“Christopher Antwi-Adjei has a lot of dynamism and can be used variably in the offensive. He has experience in the Bundesliga and the second league and has again proven in the current season that his speed is a problem for many defensive lines, “says Sebastian Schindzielorz added on the same club forum.

Antwi-Adjei has featured in 31 league games, scoring 4 and assisting 1 for SC Paderborn 07 in the just ended league season.

He has featured once for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.
