Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has officially appointed former Kumasi Asante Kotoko gaffer Zdravko Lugarusic as new head coach of their senior national football team as they get ready for the likes of Ghana, South Africa and Ethiopia in group G of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The 57-year old Croatian trainer penned a two-year contract for Zimbabwe in what is termed as a performance contract.
The UEFA Pro Lince and a CAF Licence A holder has managed several top clubs in Africa including the Sudanese senior national football team.
Zdravko has worked in East, West African countries where he managed top clubs such as Asante Kotoko, Ashantigold SC, King Faisal Babies (all in Ghana), AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia (Kenya) as well as Simba club in Tanzania.
Zibabwe has been drawn in group G of the Qata 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers (CAF) along with Ghana, South Africa and Ethiopia.
