Accra Hearts of Oak attacker Kofi Kodzi has left the shores of Ghana as his long awaited move to Qatari side Muaither SC nears completion.
Following Hearts of Oak’s rejection of the Muaither based club’s initial offer for Kordzi, an improved offer was later submitted and the two clubs finally reached agreement for the transfer of the striker. Hearts of Oak have now allowed Kordzi to travel to the club where he is expected to complete the necessary processes including medicals to complete the deal.
Sources say the striker, affectionately called “The Aveyime Drogba” by his darling fans of Accra Hearts of Oak, is moving for a fee of $150,000 with a 20% onward transfer fee for the Phobians.
Kordzi established himself as one of the best players for Accra Hearts of Oak in the cancelled 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League, where he emerged the club’s top scorer in the league with 6 goals.
Founded 24 years ago, Muaither SC play in the Qatar Stars League, the country’s top-flight league and look forward adding more value to the Ghanaian international to build upon his marks left at Hearts of Oak.
