Former Asante Kotoko head coach Frimpong Manso says the Porcupines failed to record a win over ES Sètif due to inexperience on the part of the players.
The ‘Reds’ lost 2-1 to Algerian counterparts ES Sètif last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the final play-off game in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Despite Asante Kotoko taken the lead through Kwame Opoku in the second half of the game, ES Sètif came back much stronger to get two quick goals which subsequently handed them all the three points over the Ghanaian giants.
Reacting on the match on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso, Coach Frimpong Manso emphasised that his former side loss the game because of inexperience.
“ Kotoko played so well on Sunday against ES Setif, however, inexperience cost them.”
“I was extremely excited seeing Kotoko swinging passes together and producing some phenomenal performance, but like I said, it was obvious Sètif lads were more experienced than us, and it is a reason we couldn’t win,” he added.
The return fixture comes off on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Algerian.
