Kumasi-based women’s premier league side Kumasi sports academy Ladies has tasted its first away defeat to league leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
The academy Ladies made a trip to Techiman to face zonal rivals in their first game in the second round of the 2020/21 Women’s Premier League season which ended 1-0 in favor of the home team.
The game which many Football fans termed ‘final of the finals’ lost its virginity to the defending champions in the 83rd minutes from a nicely converted cross from Sonia Opoku by Mary Amponsah at the right side of the 16 yard box of the away folks.
Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies are still second on the league log with 13 points below defending champions who are currently with 19 points.
