Asante Kotoko continued their sparkling preseason friendly matches for the upcoming season at the Adako Jachie training complex.
The ‘Reds’ ended the match by annihilating lower-tier side Achiken FC by 6-1.
Winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi broke the virginity of the game in the 15th-minute mark after connecting a rebound at the edge of the Achiken FC penalty box to fire the first goal.
Former Phar Rangers striker, Evans Adomako, added the second goal in a one-on-one situation with brilliance to double Kotoko’s lead before the first half came to a close in the 41st minute.
Asante Kotoko put in a lot of frays to push for more goals in the second half when their scintillating display paid for Imoro Ibrahim to convert stupendously a free-kick when Emmanuel Sarkodie was brought down at the edge of the Achiken FC penalty box.
The visitors pulled a solo when one of their players pounced on a loose ball outside the penalty area and curled the ball into the left corner in the 79th minute.
The Porcupines superbly responded when William Opoku Mensah connected Imoro Ibrahim’s beautiful corner kick in the 84th minute.
Striker, Kwame Poku, cupped the match after industrious work with a brace in the 83rd and 85th minutes.
The Ghanaian giants’ impressive performance has been conspicuous by winning three matches with one ended in a drawn game. The pre-season matches so far have produced fourteen goals and conceded three goals.
