MATCH REPORT: Sam Adams double stun Liberty Professionals


Aduana Stars who are hoping to finish in the top five of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League has stunned Liberty Professionals at home in their match day 29 game.

Despite starting poorly in the campaign, seems to have found their rythm in the second round dicking where seems tough and uprooting from the wilderness.

On Sunday at the Dormaa Nana Agyemang Badu park, each half goal awarded them with all maximum points from their game against Liberty Professionals FC.

Aduana Stars begun their quest for the three points on a good note, arguably, they created the best of chances in the first 20′ minutes.

A break through came in for them, on the 17th minute mark with a brilliant strike ensuring the homers takes the lead.

Ten minutes after the break, Aduana Stars doubled their lead from the spot following a hand ball infringement. Aduana Stars were awarded a penalty, Amofa was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Sam Adams elected himself up to found his second of the day on the 55th minute.

Coach Andy Sinason made two quick changes to bring in Paul Kwame and Kingsford after going down to nil.

Substitute Kingsford came close to reducing the deficit for the away side but Goalkeeper Joseph Addo denied him with a brilliant save in 79th minute. Liberty Professionals were hit hard with injury from Paul Kwame who was introduced in the second half, he made way again for George Amoako.

They fight all went invain with the 2-0 defeat at away.

The win for Aduana Stars means they move 8th on the league standing with 43 points with Liberty Professionals dropping to the relegation zone.
