Juventus announce that they have reached an agreement with Udinese Calcio for the final transfer of 23-year-old defensive midfielder Rolando Mandragora for a fee of 10.7 million euros (plus 6 million bonuses), payable over the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons. The Italian international, who has a squad with Squadra Azzura, was bought by Juve from Genoa for 9 million euros in 2016. The club exercises a buyout option.
Immediately after buying it, the Old Lady had loaned it to Pescara, then to Crotone, before selling it for 20 million euros to Udinese in 2018. Two years later, Juventus got him back, thanks to a buyout option. But this convoluted issue does not end there. An undisputed holder in Udine’s squad, Mandragora had to be redeemed to join Juve’s squad this season. But the player injured his knee ligament at the end of June. The Turin club decided to leave him on loan at Udinese for the season. A loan that could be extended during the 2021/2022 season.
