The Ghana Football Association has named former Black Starlets head coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin as head coach for the Ghana U-23 team the Black Meteors.
Paa Kwesi Fabin replaces Ibrahim Tanko as coach of Meteors as the GFA takes steps to reshape the technical heads of the various national football teams. The decision comes in after the FA dissolved the various technical heads of all the national teams for new appointments.
The former Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko coach Fabin will be assisted at Meteors by Akakpo Patron with Ben Owu as the goalkeepers trainer.
Other members of the technical team are:
- Andrew Ayim – Team Doctor
- Albert K. Evedzi – Physiotherapist
- Ablade Kumah – Welfare Officer
- Emmanuel Opoku – Equipment Officer.
The GFA has also named a Management Committee for the Black Meteors as follows:
- Frederick Acheampong – Chairman
- Frederick Moore – Vice Chairman
- Frederick Boateng – Member
- George Aforklenyuie – Member
- Nana Adu Abankro Acheampong – Member
