The Pobiman Academy project of Accra Hearts of Oak is progressively underway and the Project Committee, led by the Chairman of the Project Committee, Mr Frank Nelson have visited the site to inspect the progress of work and the quality of materials being used for the one of kind in Ghana Academy project.
Frank Nelson, Board Member of Hearts of Oak on Thursday, led the three-member Project Committee to carry out inspection of the ongoing Pobiman Academy project.
Nelson inspected the progress of work together with the other two members of the committee, Mr. Justice Annold and Hearts of Oak Board Member Alhaji Akambi.
The first phase of the project is being handled by local construction firm K. A Estates Company Limited, who have been assigned to complete their aspect of the project in a space of 90 days (three months). Work began three weeks ago and the Committee were on site to see how the activities on the project are being carried out.
Specifically, the committee inspected the quality of materials being used, such as the blocks, iron rods, cements and other materials at the site meant for the project. Upon arrival, the project manager briefed the Committee on the progress of work, and any recommendations by the Committee will be communicated to the Board of the club for review.
K. A Estates Company Limited are expected to finish their aspect of the project by October 1 this year, after which the Turkish firm, Prefabex Construction will take over to take it up to the finishing within 7 months. When done, the Pobiman Academy project promises to be an ultramodern facility, one of the best the country has ever seen so far.
