Six exceptional players to miss the Ashanti derby

Derby matches come with different flavour and spectacles regardless of the form of the teams involved.

The players’ minds are tuned to historical antecedents to coerce them to produce figurative performance more than the usual performance.

All over the world there are some obvious teams that comes to mind when it is about the derbies.

And of course, each country has got her own striking derby that draw more people to the stadium to add significant value to the match.

The two teams are wounded as they come face-to-face following their defeats last weekend which makes the game a blockbuster clash. This kind of game, irrespective of the venue, produces a sterling outcome.

Just as the tempo is glowing, unfortunately, there are six (6) crucial players who will miss this game.

Kotoko, who is hugely affected will be losing five key players. These players have played a pivotal role thus far in the league.

Former Atalanta right-back, Patrick Asmah, striker, Osman Ibrahim, and midfielders, Emmanuel Kayekeh, Kwame Adom Frimpong and Habib Mohammed are all ruled out.

On the part of Ashanti Gold, midfielder Appiah McCarthy is out. McCarthy has been one of the astronomical players for the Black and Yellow team.
