West African Football Academy (WAFA) center-back, Konadu Yiadom is close to joining Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.

Yiadom was one of the standout players for the Sogakope-based side in the just ended 2022/21 season.
The Porcupines want to beef up their squad ahead of the upcoming season after ending the 2020-21 season trophyless.
Local transfer expert, Mohammed Shaban reports that the Reds have officially began talks with representatives of the highly-rated centre-back after expressing their interest.
Shaban confirms that discussions took place on Monday between the handlers of the player and Kotoko officials in Kumasi with the Porcupines tanking an offer in the region of $66,000 to sign the lanky defender.
The 21-year old’s managers and his father were spotted in Kumasi airport during the week to discuss his situation.
The former Tema United defender was expected to join Hearts of Oak but the move fell through after both parties failed to agree terms.
Kotoko have swiftly stepped in to capture the 21-year-old who is rated as one of the best defenders in the country.
Meanwhile, Konadu Yiadom has joined his teammates at WAFA awaiting the final negotiations between Kotoko and his owners.
Yiadom managed to score three times in his 32 game outings for West African Football Academy SC in the just ended 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
