Asante Kotoko are in advanced to talks to sign a partnership deal with StarTimes to takeover the streaming of their matches across the globe, Commercial Manager, Eric Amoako Twum has revealed.
The rebirth of management of the club has breathed fresh air into the club with many good things put on paper for implementation, notable among them is the signing of sponsorship deals to aid the club cement its position as an elite club on the continent.
The Porcupine Warriors outdoored a new management of 8 great minds on Tuesday, with CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah announcing that the club is at the verge of landing four (4) major sponsorship deals, including a partnership with an English Premiership club in the few coming weeks.
Having been unveiled to begin work, the eight-member management team has been tasked to transform the club to the levels of elite clubs on the continent, and with no time to waste, the Commercial Manager, Eric Amoako Twum has revealed that the club is set to announce a partnership deal with Ghana Premier League TV broadcasting rights holders, StarTimes.
“Streaming live games in this era are very important and possible because of technology. It’s our plan to sign an agreement with StarTimes to give opportunity for those outside Ghana to watch our matches on their phones”, he told Kumasi based Otec FM.
“That is also an avenue to generate some revenue for the team and the partners, but we will first engage the GFA for a possible approval following the current arrangement between them”, stated.
