Tarkwa based Medeama Sporting Club is organising medical screening for all players and members of the technical team on Tuesday, as the club prepares the team for the 2020/2021 premier league season, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively report.
All players of the first team squad reported at the club on Monday, September 28 for the medical screening scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Tarkwa.
As at Tuesday morning, almost all the players had arrived for the mandatory exercise. Names such as Joseph Tetteh Zuta, Kwasi Donsu, goalkeeper Eric Ofori, Richard Boadu, Eric Kwakwa, Rashid Nortey, Justice Blay, Jasper Nimo, Agyei Boakye and others have all reported for the exercise.
The medicals will take place at the Health Plus Consult clinic, popularly known withing the Tarkwa localities as Baffour Tuffour-Kwarteng hospital.
The exercise has been divided into two sessions, with the first session comprising of the normal medical checks on the players which is usually done to usher them into a new season. This will immediately be followed by the Government and Ghana Football Association (GFA) required covid-19 tests for all the players and staff.
Official training program will be announced by the club after results of the covid-19 tests are made available. This is to inform the club clearly on what measures to take before training officially takes off.
