African heavyweight Champion Richard Harrison Lartey left disappointed as he lost the commonwealth heavyweight eliminator to Nathan Gorman.
Ghana’s African heavyweight Champion Richard Lartey popular known as “the son of the eagle “ once again failed to bring back the gold. It was a 10 rounds of boxing bout of which Nathan Gorman won by unanimous decision against Richard Lartey.
Nevertheless this was an impressive performance from the African heavyweight champion as he fought like a wounded lion from the first to the last round. One could say that Richard Lartey was going in for a knockout but the corner of Gorman acted very swiftly to combat the tactics from Lartey’s corner.
This becomes the second straight defeat in the UK for Richard Harrison Lartey who falls to a resounding 100-90, 100-90, 99-92 defeat to Nathan Gorman in their Commonwealth heavyweight eliminator earlier Saturday night, this is the Ghanaian’s first fight ever since he suffered a stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois in April last year.
