The earlier announced friendly match between Hearts of Oak and Medeama Sporting Club has been cancelled, the Phobians have confirmed.
Hearts of Oak were scheduled to continue their preseason preparations with a friendly match with fellow premier league giants Medeama Sporting Club on Wednesday, November 4, at the the Glow Lamp Academy park in Cape Coast, but the game is off. Upon checks, ghanasportspage.com can confirm that the Yellow and Mauves pulled out of the game at the latter stages, forcing the phobians to look for an immediate replacement.
In place of Medeama, Hearts of Oak will now play against second tie side Proud United at the at the same venue. Hearts of Oak will trek to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars in their season opener at the Nana Agyemang Badu I, Park, and had arranged for two high profiled friendly matches – against Medeama on Wednesday, and Elmina Sharks the next day.
The Phobians will now engage Proud United on Wednesday before finishing their preseason camping with the game against their premier league counterparts, Elmina Sharks.
Team Hearts of Oak is then expected to return to Accra on Friday November 6 to finalise arrangements for their trip to Dormaa for the season opener against Aduana Stars.
