One of the Asante Kotoko Assistant Coaches Johnson Smith says the technical team will continue to work hard to right the wrongs they saw in yesterday’s friendly match against Samartex FC.
Asante Kotoko conceded in their 2-2 drawn game with Division one side Samartex FC in what seems to be the club’s final preseason match.
And Assistant Coach Johnson Smith believes that it is not too much of a worry for the Technical following their wherewithal to halt the situation.
In a post-match interview with the press, Coach Johnson Smith failed to blame the defenders for conceding goals.
“Samartex game is a fine exercise for us to shape us for the season which is starting over the weekend.”
He continued, “The goals we conceded are not as a result of bad defending but little mistakes that the technical team can work on it before the season kick-off.
The Porcupines have conceded five goals out of five friendlies but have scored sixteen in the process.
