Premier league outfits Ashantigold SC are to announce the club’s official squad list and squad numbers for the 2020/2021 football season on Thursday, November 12, 2020, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively confirm.
The Obuasi based club was scheduled to officially unveil their squad for new season on Sunday, but failed to do so after communications with the Ghana Football Association failed to reach a consensus regarding documentations and other administrative issues.
The Miners have now completed all needed clearances with the FA and have set Thursday, November 12 as the day to unveil the squad, along with their assigned squad numbers in a short ceremony to be held at the club’s secretariat in Obuasi. Ashantigold SC will unveil a total of 30 players for their 2020/2021 campaign for both the domestic league and their continental assignment – the CAF Confederation Cup (CC).
After the CAF draw held on Monday, the Miners have been paired against Burkinabe side Salitas FC in the preliminary stage, with the first leg set to be played in Obuasi, Ghana, before the reverse fixture in Burkina Faso.
