Stupendous football scout Esme Mends has predicted clubs who he believes can finish the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season in the top four by the end of the season, but the former Hearts of Oak star is unsure whether Asante Kotoko can make it.
Speaking to ghanasportspage.com on matters relating to the ongoing league season, we pushed the midfield legend to the wall to name clubs he believes can secure a top four finish, and his ranking looks interesting.
According to Mends, his former employers Accra Hearts of Oak will win the ultimate, and will be followed closely by Aduana Stars in the second position. The next club to feature in Esme Mends’ top four is Medeama Sporting Club which he tips for a third place finish. Mends is not sure whether the record league winners, Asante Kotoko can finish within the top 4, but says maybe they may.
“As a Hearts fan definitely we are going to win the league, and I believe Aduana Stars, Medeama and maybe Kotoko”, Esme Mends told ghanasportspage.com.
Asked for clarification whether Asante Kotoko will make the top 4, he insisted that that is a “maybe”.
So for your top 4, it’s Accra Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, Medeama and Kotoko?
“The Kotoko is even a maybe”, he insisted.
After three matches played, Asante Kotoko have played two games so far and drawn all, while Hearts of Oak have played two, drawn 1 and lost the other.
