The Black Satellites of Ghana, along with the team’s delegation at the ongoing CAF U20 African Cup of Nations in Mauritania are set to travel from the team’s current base in Nouadhibou on Tuesday to Nouakchott where the team will take on Cameroon in the quarterfinals game.
The team played all three group matches at the Stade Nouadhibou where they recorded victory over Tanzania, helf Morocco to a goalless stalemate before losing to Gambia in the last group game.
Ahead of the quarter finals tie against Cameroon on Thursday February 25, delegation is expected to arrive in Nouakchott later on Tuesday, two days before the quarterfinals game against Cameroon to settle down for the knockout game.
The Black Satellites, national U-20 side, failed to finish top of Group C after dropping all three points against Gambia in the final group game. Ghana however, qualified to the knock out phase of the competition ahead of Tunisia after finishing as the best third place team.
Ghana will take on Cameroon at the Stade Olympique on Thursday with kick off at 4pm. Morocco will also face Tunisia in the other quarterfinal game later on the same day. Burkina Faso will face Uganda while Central Africa Republic take on Gambia on Friday.
