Two Black Satellites players have earned for themselves a place in the Best XI of the Total 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, an accolade which reflects their parts played in Ghana’s victory at the tournament.
Midfielder Abdul Fatawu Ishahaku and goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad have both been awarded in the Best XI of the tournament.
Midfielder Abdul Fatawu finished the tournament as the most outstanding performer, winning the Best player award after scoring two goals in 6 games. The 16-year-old Steadfast FC youngster captained the Black Starlets (U17) to win gold at the WAFU U17 Zone B Cup of Nations in Togo early this year, and was a delight to watch throughout the U-20 AFCON in the games he featured in for Ghana.
Ibrahim Danlad on the other hand, gave Ghana the best of saves, a tournament winning ones of course, one of the reasons Ghana finished off the tournament with the ultimate for a jubilant end to a happy Independence Day.
The Asante Kotoko shot stopper was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament after keeping four clean sheets and allowing just three goals.
