The ministry of youth and sports has this evening announced the approval for 25% of football fans to return to the various match venues to watch matches.
In a statement signed by the public relations officer for the MoH, Kenneth Annang stated that soccer fans are now permitted to watch both local and international matches at the stadiums subject to observing all the national Covid-19 protocols as well as the GFA matchday Covid-19 protocols.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports is delighted to announce that with immediate effect, approval is granted for football fans (25%) to return to the various league centers to watch both domestic and international competition subjunct to observing all the national Covid-19 protocols and the GFA Covid-19 protocols”, the statement reads.
The release feather explained the decision was based on several deliberations and engagement with all stakeholders.
“The decision comes on the back of several deliberations and engagement the ministry of Youth and Sports and the GFA, the national Covid-19 Task Force and all other stakeholders concerned, the training of club Stewarts and improving the GFA matchday Covid-19 protocols”,
“As a result, the Ghana Football Association has been directed to put in place mechanisms to ensure that games are played games are played in a safe environment to ensure the safety of spectators”,
According to the statement the Ghana Football Association must ensure that various covid-19 protocols like washing of hands and wearing of masks are observed at match venues
“That’s the Ghana Football Association must ensure that various covid-19 protocols like washing of hands, wearing of masks and observing social distancing are strictly adhered to and sanction defaulting clubs and participants in accordance with the provisions of the GFA matchday Covid-19 protocols”,
” for the avoidance of doubt these conditions of issues apply to the purchases, holding and use of GFA match day tickets”, it states
” The Ghana Football Association/or its authorised distributors (if any) sells and issues tickets for matches at the Grounds only upon the following conditions of issue and by purchasing, holding or using a Match Tickets or entering the Ground, any person who has applied for, bought, accepted or hold a match ticket shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions of issue”.
